MAKOTOYA is a bodywork & pilates salon that opened in 2018 inside the familiy-run lodge "VINBLANC" in Happo, Hakuba.
It began with the desire to support your happy and healthy daily life.
We are open all year round, we cater to a wide range of clients, from local residents to tourists visiting Hakuba and even athletes.
While MAKOTOYA is not a stylish salon like those you find in the city, we hope you feel as relaxed as if you were returning to a cozy countryside home.
MAKOTOYA offers professional Japanese "Massage"to relieve tense and tired bodies, and personalized "Pilates" lessons based on medical evidence to correct posture and physical foundation.(Note: Pilates lessons are only available Japanese.)
MAKOTOYA is a personal salon run by one person. You can't take massage 2 persons at same time. Because it's doing just myself. Please make a reservation advance early.
Also, there are no female therapist, so we appreciate your understanding.
Bodywork
Shiatsu style Japanese traditional massage
Feel refreshed and light in mind and body
For Bodywork, we use our warm, large hands to massage those "just right" areas with just the right amount of strength to relieve painful, heavy shoulder stiffness or body fatigue after sports.
For those who need it, we also offer stretching and shoulder blade release.
We do not use oils or other products for bodywork. Treatments are done over clothes. Please wear clothes made of soft material. (We also have change of clothes available, so please let us know if you need them.)
※We do not provide medical treatment. Please visit a medical institution for acute illnesses or injuries.

I gained experience at a popular salon in Tokyo and moved to Hakuba to get married. MAKOTOYA opend 2018. MAKOTOYA is often visited by local customers. I am also a personal trainer. I regularly hold Pilates classes for local people.

Right next to Happo 3rd Parking Lot
MAKOTOYA is located within a small, family-run guesthouse called 'Lodge VINBLANC.' The lodge, with its distinctive red roof, faces Happo Parking Lot No.3.
The road to our location is narrow and can be difficult to find, so you might get lost. If you are coming bay car, we recommend parking at 'Happo Parking Lot No3.'
※Please note that if you use Google Maps or other navigation systems to locate us, it may guide you through narrow roads unsuitable for vehicles or direct you to neighboring accommodations.
We kindly ask you to make a reservation advance.
